Scheduling Changes

Please note that we will not be competing on Dec. 5. Our first competition will be on Dec. 12
We will be practicing until 4pm on Tues. Nov. 24, no practice on Wed. Nov. 25. Sat. practice on Nov. 28 is tentative. If we feel we are prepared enough by the end of practice on the 24th we will not have practice on the 28th. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Competitions!

It's competition planning time! The cheerleaders voted in class yesterday (11/4) on 6 competition options. Here are the majority results:

1. December 5, 2009 at Desert Hills High School in St. George (NCA Spirit Championship)
2. December 12, 2009 at Alta High School (UCA Salt Lake City Regional)
3. January 9, 2010 at Timpview High School (USA Regional)
4. February 6, 2010 at Riverton High School (USA Regional) - this is also the day of our Sweetheart's Dance

Team-Building

To start 2nd term off right, we're doing a team-building activity. All members of each stunt group will take turns offering incentives and thanks you's to each other; small tokens of appreciation and encouragement. You can get creative and personalize these :) Some members who switch out have been linked to one specific stunt group to avoid confusion.

Demerits

There are 4 ways a cheerleader gets demerits and 4 ways to earn merits.
Demerits: Missed practice/performance/event= 1.5
Late for any cheer event = 1
Wrong clothing to practice= .5
Behavior (at Hillary's discretion)= .5
Merits: On time 5 times in a row to cheer events= 1
Directing a team building event during class time pre approved by Hillary= 1
Vacuum mats= 1
Attending unassigned school sporting event pre approved by Hillary= 1

Friday's Game at Dixie

All cheerleaders are required to ride the bus to St. George. They can be released to their own parent AFTER the game by having parent and cheerleader check in with Hillary. Cheerleaders WILL NOT be released to another parent per district policy.
Cheerleaders must check in at BHS no later than 6:15 am on Fri. morning. Cheerleaders may bring blanket, pillow, snacks and MUST bring cheer bag with all necessary cheer items. Uniform TBA. Please wear comfortable but school appropriate clothing for the bus ride.
The bus is scheduled to arrive back at BHS between 11pm and Midnight Friday.
